Wednesday, the Palestinian Presidency confirmed that the legislative, presidential and the National Council elections will be held on time, according to the presidential decrees issued in this regard.

Spokesperson for the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said "The elections will take place on time, and efforts are continuing with all parties, including the European Union, which is trying to make every effort possible, but it is unable to force [Israeli Occupation] to hold elections in Jerusalem."

This came after several reports talked about Palestinian Authority’s intention to postpone holding the legislative elections, in light of the Israeli Occupation blocking the way to complete the entire electoral process in Jerusalem.
