The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority is nearing the completion of arrangements to reopen border crossings, most of which are expected to resume operation by the end of Ramadan.
The Commissioner for Tourism and Economic Affairs at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority Sharhabeel Madi told Roya that the reopening of the border crossings in Aqaba will increase tourist activities by more than 35 percent.
He said that the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority is committed to following the instructions issued by the competent authorities regarding the reopening of border crossings including protocols. The aim to to protect public health and safety, in coordination with the relevant authorities in the Kingdom and neighboring countries.
