Indian Ambassador hosts lecture at Isra University

The Embassy of India in Amman, in association with Isra University organized an event as part of 75 years of India's independence celebrations ('Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' ) in Jordan.

Ambassador H.E. Anwar Haleem was invited by President of Isra University Prof. Ahmed Nuseirat to deliver a lecture on the theme “70 years of India-Jordan Relations." The online lecture which was attended by more than 130 faculty members, academicians and students from Isra University, commenced with the special video message from Hon’ble Prime Minister H.E. Narendra Modi sent on the occasion of Jordan’s centenary, which was followed by a photo exhibition on India-Jordan relations.

The Ambassador, in his lecture, highlighted the historic close and friendly relations between India and Jordan which is scaling new heights under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi and His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Nuseirat conveyed his congratulations to government and people of India on 75 years of India's independence. Dr. Ghaida Abu Rumman, President Assistant for International Affairs of Isra University also spoke on the occasion. The session was followed by an interactive session with the audience.
