Wednesday, the assistant secretary-general for primary health care at the Ministry of Health Ghazi Sharkas said more than 60,000 people have registered for vaccination via the ministry's online platform over the past 24 hours.

Sharkas noted that this rise in the number of registrations and increasing demand for the COVID-19 vaccine is a step in the right direction. He assured that all coronavirus vaccines available in Jordan are 'good'.

He reiterated the need for citizens to get a PCR test done if they come into contact with positive cases or experience any symptoms.

He also stressed the need to adhere to health and safety guidelines to prevent further spreading of the virus, especially with the COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom currently stabilizing.
