Staff from the National Center For Security and Crisis Management (NCSM) seized a person infected with coronavirus who was not committed to home quarantine in Ajloun Tuesday.

The governor of Ajloun and head of the Public Health and Safety Committee, Salman Al-Najada, said that the person infected with the virus was caught while he was 'out and about' in one of the towns during intense field inspections that the committee was carrying out in cooperation with the NCSM and epidemics investigation teams.

The person was transferred to a field hospital to complete their period of isolation.

Najada indicated that legal measures will be taken against him, noting that violators and those who do not comply to defense orders, health procedures and government instructions will not be tolerated.

Home isolation measures were set in order to preserve the safety of Jordanians and residents and to ensure that COVID-19 patients do not expose others to the risk of contracting the virus, said Najada.

He pointed out that the NCSM monitors all coronavirus patients in home isolation to ensure that they do not leave their homes.
