Jordan records 64 deaths and 2,699 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 64 deaths and 2,699 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 692,181.

The death toll has risen to 8,372.

The cases are: 

-935 in Amman

-493 in Irbid, including 83 in Ramtha

-310 in Zarqa

-203 in Mafraq

-139 in Balqa

-109 in Karak

-106 in Ajloun

-101 in Ma'an, including one in Petra

-92 in Tafilah

-88 in Jerash

-72 in Aqaba

-51 in Madaba

A total of 265 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 253 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 34,091 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 5,232 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 649,718.

There are 2,029 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 19,621 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,522,141.

Tuesday, 13.76 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 14.06 percent on Monday.
