Palestine recorded 31 deaths and 2,025 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Tuesday.

The new deaths involved two in Qalqilya; two in Nablus; two in Hebron; four in Jenin; and 21 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 89.4 percent, while the active case rate is 9.5 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 28 in Qalqilya; 22 in Tubas; 13 in Salfit; 117 in Nablus; 74 in Jenin; 55 in Tulkarm; 61 in Hebron; 61 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 17 in Bethlehem; three in the suburbs of Jerusalem; three in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 1,556 in Gaza Strip; and 15 in Jerusalem.

The recovery cases included 70 in Qalqilya; 30 in Tubas; three in Salfit; 212 in Nablus; 235 in Jenin; 36 in Tulkarm; 75 in Hebron; 69 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 28 in Bethlehem; 19 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; four in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 1,500 in Gaza Strip; and 25 in Jerusalem.

Currently, 165 people are in ICUs and 46 are on ventilators.

A total of 166,849 individuals received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, including 25,466 who received both doses.
