The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Rochelle Walensky announced that all Americans aged 16 and above are eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine, Reuters reported Monday.

Walensky’s statement came as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations have been increasing among young people in the US.
