Palestine confirms 30 deaths and 1,529 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 30 deaths and 1,529 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Monday.

The new deaths involved 14 in the West Bank and 16 in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 89.3 percent, while the active case rate is 9.6 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 30 in Tubas; 25 in Salfit; 48 in Tulkarm; 83 in Jenin; 124 in Nablus; 84 in Hebron; 15 in Qalqilya; 13 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 84 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 17 in Bethlehem; eight in the suburbs of Jerusalem; and 998 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 17 in Tubas; two in Salfit; 19 in Tulkarm; 87 in Jenin; 110 in Nablus; 21 in Hebron; 35 in Qalqilya; 10 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 134 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 35 in Bethlehem; three in the suburbs of Jerusalem; and 1,550 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 167 people are in ICUs and 46 are on ventilators.

A total of 166,849 individuals received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, including 25,466 who received both doses.
