Jordan records 62 deaths and 3,509 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 62 deaths and 3,509 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 689,482.

The death toll has risen to 8,308.

The cases are:

-1,487 in Amman

-579 in Irbid, including 127 in Ramtha

-342 in Zarqa

-217 in Mafraq

-175 in Balqa

-148 in Karak

-107 in Madaba

-99 in Ajloun

-98 in Aqaba

-91 in Jerash

-85 in Tafilah

-81 in Ma'an, including one in Petra

A total of 227 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 265 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 36,688 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 6,005 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 644,486.

There are 2,090 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 24,956 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,502,520.

Monday, 14.06 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 14.05 percent on Sunday.
