Sunday, Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh decided to reinstate the decision allowing citizens to perform Friday prayers in mosques on foot for a period of one hour, during a session with the Council of Ministers.

The time allocation will be determined by the Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Muhammad Al-Khalaileh at a later stage, provided that worshipers adhere to the approved health protocols.

March 10, Friday prayers were no longer permitted by the government following a sharp uptick in COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom.
