Jordan records 68 deaths and 2,507 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 68 deaths and 2,507 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 685,973.

The death toll has risen to 8,246.

The cases are:

- 656 in Amman

- 477 in Irbid, including 16 in Ramtha

- 313 in Zarqa

- 156 in Mafraq

- 155 in Tafilah

- 155 in Ajloun

- 142 in Karak

- 131 in Aqaba

- 127 in Jerash

- 92 in Balqa

- 79 in Madaba

- 24 in Ma'an

A total of 229 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 224 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 39,246 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 6,537 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 638,481.

There are 2,197 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 17,846 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,477,564.

Sunday, 14.05 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 14.02 percent on Saturday.
