Saturday, the Qatar Ministry of Public Health announced that it expanded vaccine eligibility to include those as young as 35.

Qatar has so far administered 1.2 million vaccine doses.

The head of the National Health Strategy Group to address the COVID-19 pandemic and the head of the infectious diseases department at the Hamad Medical Corporation, Abdul Latif Al-Khal, said in a statement that the expanding of the vaccine criteria is part of the efforts by the Qatari Ministry of Health to expand the range of demographics that are immune to the coronavirus.
