Saturday, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation announced that it will permit private water tankers to operate after curfew hours and during the complete lockdown on Fridays, due to hot summer conditions and the increased demand for water from citizens, and industrial, commercial, and tourism sectors.

The ministry added in a statement that the decision was made possible with coordination with the National Center for Security and Crisis Management and the Coronavirus Crisis Cell.

The groups agreed to the decision provided that lockdown instructions are adhered to and workers are registered to receive the vaccine.
