Palestine recorded 22 deaths and 1,923 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Wednesday.

The new deaths involved 12 in the West Bank and 10 in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 88.2 percent, while the active case rate is 10.8 percent and the death rate is one percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 60 in Tulkarm; 23 in Tubas; 143 in Jenin; 16 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 17 in Qalqilya; 94 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 52 in Hebron; 16 in Bethlehem; three in the suburbs of Jerusalem; four in Salfit; and 1,425 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 142 in Tulkarm; 31 in Tubas; 215 in Nablus; 350 in Jenin; 10 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 57 in Qalqilya; 136 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 215 in Hebron; 39 in Bethlehem; 18 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 32 in Salfit; and 1,000 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 180 people are in ICUs and 57 are on ventilators.

There are a total of 547 coronavirus patients receiving treatments in West Bank hospitals.

A total of 9,706 PCR tests were conducted.

Since the beginning of Palestine's vaccination campaign, a total of 153,911 individuals have been administered COVID-19 vaccines in the West Bank (119,655) and the Gaza Strip (34,256), including 19,940 who have taken both jabs.
