Jordan records 82 deaths and 2,790 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 82 deaths and 2,790 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 672,090.

The death toll has risen to 7,937.

The cases are:

-798 in Amman

-397 in Irbid, including five in Ramtha

-383 in Zarqa

-171 in Karak

-161 in Jerash

-158 in Ajloun

-143 in Mafraq

-132 in Madaba

-126 in Balqa

-112 in Ma'an, including 38 in Petra

-111 in Aqaba

-98 in Tafilah

 A total of 305 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 330 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 53,539 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 6,570 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 610,614.

There are 2,607 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 23,823 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,372,263.

Tuesday, 11.71 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 12.88 percent on Monday.
