Lebanon tightens COVID-19 measures during Ramadan

Monday, the Coronavirus Follow-up Committee in Lebanon approved a series of new measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The measures included imposing a night curfew from 9pm until 5am for a period of one month.

Religious institutions should also strictly follow COVID-19 preventive measures during Ramadan and limit prayer services to a 30 percent capacity.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Lebanon has confirmed 497,854 cases and 6,703 deaths.
