His Majesty King Abdullah II wished everyone a blessed month of Ramadan Monday.

On Twitter, His Majesty wrote "As we welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, we ask God Almighty to help us with fasting and prayer, and to preserve our country, protect us and the whole world from the evil of the pandemic, heal our patients, and help us serve the Arab and Islamic nations."

Earlier Monday, Jordan’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Karim al-Khasawneh announced that the crescent moon was sighted and therefore declared Tuesday as the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
