His Majesty receives UK Chief of Defense Staff’s new Senior Advisor to the Middle East

His Majesty King Abdullah II received Monday, the UK Chief of Defense Staff’s new Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa (DSAME), Lieutenant-General Martin Sampson.

In a meeting, His Majesty and Sampson discussed the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United Kingdom, and ways to enhance cooperation between them, especially in the defense fields, in addition to regional and international efforts in the war on terror.

The meeting touched on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

His Majesty expressed his congratulations to Lieutenant General Sampson on assuming his new position.

For his part, Sampson congratulated His Majesty on the centenary of the establishment of the Jordanian state, praising the strategic relations between the two friendly countries.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major-General Yousef Huneiti.
