The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Jordanian people on the centenary of the nation’s founding, according to a Monday publication. 

Blinken said in a greeting card video that the development achieved by Jordan over the past century, and its role in the region as a champion of peace, stability and cooperation, underscores the importance of the role that Jordan plays in the region and the wisdom of its leadership.

He stressed the pride of the United States of America in its strong partnership with Jordan, noting that the active trade and cultural exchange between the two countries, and cooperation in addressing international challenges such as the coronavirus pandemic, will increase.
