Monday, Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh met with members of the Jordanian Parliament. During the meeting, there were verbal altercations between a number of MPs regarding statements made, causing several MPs to leave the meeting as a form of protest.

MP Mohammad al-Alaqmeh explained that Khasawneh said the issue was not 'an attempted coup,' but rather arrangements to destabilize internal security and cause chaos.

Alaqmeh added that there were disagreements in the meeting between MPs and Khasawneh without specifying the reasons behid these altercations.

The Amman Attorney General Hassan Al-Abdallat said earlier that the gag order, which banned the publication of any subject related to His Highness Prince Hamzah, includes everything related to the investigation, including its confidentiality, integrity, evidence related to it, its parties and everything else related to that.

He added at the time that the prohibition excludes expressing opinions and freedom of opinion within the framework of the law, especially within the Press and Publication Law.

He pointed out that the gag order also excludes statements issued by official authorities. The decision remains in effect until further notice.
