The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD), in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, announced the launch of electronic services to issue passports (replacement for lost or damaged passports) for Jordanians residing outside the Kingdom through 15 Jordanian embassies and two Jordanian consulates.

The Director General of the Civil Status and Passports Department, Fahd Al-Amoush stated that Jordanian citizens residing abroad can submit the application electronically and the requests will be examined by the department.

This service is available in Jordanian embassies in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Manama, Muscat, Doha, Canberra, Washington, Ottawa, London, Cairo, Ankara, Moscow, Berlin and Athens, and two consulates in Jeddah and Dubai.

Amoush stressed that this came in line with the department's vision in the electronic transformation plan, indicating that these services will be circulated to the rest of the embassies for the benefit of all Jordanian expatriates.
