The Ministry of Health confirmed Saturday that hypertension medication, in addition to alternative medicines, are available in the MoH's central warehouse in large quantities.

The statement came as a response to what was published about the alleged shortage of some treatments.

The ministry noted that in exceptional cases, delays between the main warehouse and the pharmacy, health center, or hospital may occur. 

In the same context, Director of Procurement and Supply, Dr. Maher Al-Zyoud emphasized that the strategic stock of chronic medicines is available, and the central warehouse management monitors the stock and provides all medicines in the subsidiary warehouses in the governorates. 

He said the Ministry of Health is ready to supply hospitals and health centers around the clock, and that the MoH also supplies other establishments, such as university hospitals, in cases of shortages upon request.
