The General Director of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), Nizar Muhaidat, stated Friday that inspection teams shut down two unregistered factories which produce and manufacture sterilizers and cosmetics in Amman.

Muhaidat added that the factories were operating under poor manufacturing conditions.

He confirmed that the competent inspection teams carry out periodic monitoring tours to ensure that those in charge of factories adhere to the standards and manufacturing practices in compliance with the specifications approved by the JFDA.

Muhaidat indicated that the factories will be referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them, stressing that the JFDA will not tolerate any violations affecting the health and safety of citizens.

The JFDA invites citizens to communicate with them in the event of any inquiry, note or complaint around the clock through the toll-free helpline 117114, via e-mail at [email protected], or through WhatsApp 0795632000.
