Jordan records 81 deaths and 3,794 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 81 deaths and 3,794 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 659,250.

The death toll has risen to 7,646.

The cases are:

- 1,510 in Amman

- 912 in Irbid, including 140 in Ramtha

- 248 in Balqa

- 210 in Zarqa

- 207 in Mafraq

- 179 in Jerash

- 149 in Karak

- 131 in Ajloun

- 91 in Tafilah

- 81 in Aqaba

- 68 in Ma'an, including four in Petra

- Eight in Madaba

A total of 370 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 391 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 70,434 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 4,399 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 581,170.

There are 2,827 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 30,617 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,269,269.

Friday, 12.39 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 12.02 percent on Thursday.
