The General Director of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Nizar Muhaidat said inspection teams, in cooperation with the Royal Department for Environmental Protection, shut down an unlicensed factory in Irbid that manufactures waffle cones for operating in unsanitary health conditions.

Muhaidat indicated that the competent teams have seized all foodstuffs inside the factory and shut it down until further notice.

In a press release, Muhaidat stressed that the JFDA will not tolerate anything which may affect the health and safety of food, and the strictest measures will be taken against establishments that prove their violation of regulations and instructions approved by the administration.

The JFDA invites citizens to report any complaints through the toll-free complaints line 117114, via e-mail at [email protected], or through WhatsApp at 0795632000.
