Jordan records 86 deaths and 5,232 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 86 deaths and 5,232 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 650,681.

The death toll has risen to 7,469.

The cases are:

- 1,736 in Amman

- 1,034 in Irbid, including 105 in Ramtha

- 603 in Zarqa

- 296 in Balqa

- 295 in Mafraq

- 273 in Karak

- 198 in Madaba

- 197 in Ajloun

- 181 in Aqaba

- 175 in Tafilah

- 130 in Jerash

- 114 in Ma'an, including two in Petra

A total of 353 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 297 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 72,885 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 8,433 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 570,327.

There are 3,022 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 40,232 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,198,917.

Wednesday, 13 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 13.62 percent on Tuesday.
