104-year-old Colombian woman defeats COVID-19 for second time

Colombian doctors announced Monday the recovery of a 104-year-old woman, identified as Carmen Hernandez, from COVID-19 for the second time around.

Hernandez received a standing ovation from hospital personnel while being discharged, after she spent almost 21 days fighting off the virus.

She was diagnozed with the coronavirus for the first time in June 2020, and was treated in a nursing home in northern Colombia, where she lived for a quarter of a century.

After receiving the COVID-19 jab in February of this year, Hernandez with diagnosed with the infection once more on March 8 and was admitted into the ICU.
