Palestine recorded 21 deaths and 2,593 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Tuesday.

The new deaths involved 15 in the West Bank, four in Gaza Strip and two in Occupied Jerusalem.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 88.6 percent, while the active case rate is 10.3 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 57 in Qalqilya; 44 in Tubas; 222 in Jenin; 228 in Nablus; 103 in Tulkarm; 197 in Hebron; 20 in Salfit; 23 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 138 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 12 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 32 in Bethlehem; 54 in Occupied Jerusalem; and 1,463 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 34 in Qalqilya; 18 in Tubas; 151 in Jenin; 281 in Nablus; 32 in Tulkarm; 94 in Hebron; 32 in Salfit; 19 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 104 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 15 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 111 in Bethlehem; 152 in Occupied Jerusalem; and 412 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 203 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 60 are on ventilators.

A total of 9,259 PCR tests were conducted.
