Amman’s Attorney General Hasan al-Abdallat banned the publication of information associated with His Royal Highness Prince Hamzah bin Al-Hussein and others at this stage of the investigations until further notice. The  aim is to preserve the confidentiality of investigations conducted by the security services.

Abdallat said that the ban includes audio-visual media and social networking sites. If any pictures or videos related to this topic are published, those responsible will face legal consequesnces.

He indicated that this decision was made based on the provisions of Article 255 of the Penal Code of the Press and Publication Law and Article 39 of the same law. These laws allow the Public Prosecution to prohibit publication of anything related to any investigation regaring any issue or crime that occurs in the Kingdom.
