Jordan records 82 deaths and 6,537 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 82 deaths and 6,537 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 639,444.

The death toll has risen to 7,283.

The cases are:

-2,561 in Amman

-1,212 in Irbid, including 224 in Ramtha

-676 in Zarqa

-468 in Balqa

-362 in Mafraq

-278 in Karak

-220 in Madaba

-193 in Ajloun

-185 in Aqaba

-181 in Tafilah

-130 in Jerash

-71 in Ma'an, including one in Petra

A total of 399 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 383 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 79,397 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 9,003 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 552,764.

There are 3,182 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 43,226 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,114,599.

Monday, 15.12 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 14.68 percent on Sunday.
