Jordan records 71 deaths and 6,032 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 71 deaths and 6,032 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 632,907.

The death toll has risen to 7,201.

The cases are:

- 2,053 in Amman

- 776 in Zarqa

- 301 in Balqa

- 250 in Mafraq

- 238 in Tafilah

- 152 in Madaba

- 1,081 in Irbid, including seven in Ramtha

- 322 in Karak

- 288 in Jerash

- 241 in Aqaba

- 208 in Ajloun

- 122 in Ma'an, including 41 in Petra

A total of 365 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 376 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 81,945 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 9,269 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 543,761.

There are 3,253 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 41,101 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,071,373.

Sunday, 14.68 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 14.02 percent on Saturday.
