The General Director of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), Nizar Muhaidat, stated Sunday that the inspection teams in Irbid, in cooperation with the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection, destroyed a quantity of pickles estimated at about eight tons in an unlicensed factory operating under unsanitary health conditions.

In a press release, Muhaidat stressed that the JFDA, through periodic inspection campaigns, will not tolerate anything which may affect the health and safety of food, and the strictest measures will be taken against establishments that prove their violation of regulations and instructions approved by the administration.

The JFDA invites citizens to report any complaints through the toll-free complaints line 117114, via e-mail at [email protected], or through WhatsApp at 0795632000.
