Friday, the governor of Zarqa Hijazi Assaf told Roya that security officers detained 87 people for defense order violations during the Friday lockdown up until 6 pm.

Assaf said the security services doubled the number of officers working across the governorate to ensure compliance with defense orders.

He added that all those who were detained will be transferred to the relevant authorities for the appropriate legal action to be taken against them.

Assaf called on citizens and residents to abide by total lockdown measures, which aim to reduce further spreading of coronavirus.
