The Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Al-Hananda, said Thursday that permits for people to move around outside of curfew and lockdown measures are canceled when that person is infected with the coronavirus.

Al-Hananda said that the period of canceling the permit extends from the day their infection was recorded and for 14 days after, which is the period of the health protocol followed until the patient recovers from the virus, after which the permit is activated again.

He added that this measure was adopted about two weeks ago in order to tighten supervision over adherence to home quarantine and prevent the movement of those infected with the virus.
