The Director General of the Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Nizar Muhaidat, confirmed to Roya Thursday that the Administration will soon issue a statement clarifying what is being circulated about a recommendation to stop giving the AstraZeneca vaccine to women under the age of 55.

A report was circulated from the Food and Drug Administration addressed to the Minister of Interior and Minister of Health March 25 regarding the step. 

In a previous statement, Muhaidat said that the AstraZeneca vaccine is completely safe.
