Palestine confirms 13 deaths and 2,288 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 13 deaths and 2,288 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Wednesday.

The new deaths involved 12 in the West Bank and one in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 89.7 percent, while the active case rate is 9.2 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 55 in Qalqilya; 269 in Nablus; 103 in Tulkarm; 44 in Tubas; 286 in Hebron; 186 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 21 in Salfit; 30 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 12 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 47 in Bethlehem; and 1,061 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 75 in Qalqilya; 178 in Nablus; 189 in Tulkarm; 258 in Jenin; 35 in Tubas; 417 in Hebron; 143 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 38 in Salfit; 94 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 27 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 144 in Bethlehem; and 241 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 209 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 68 are on ventilators.

A total of 9,412 PCR tests were conducted.
