Authorities detain two COVID-19 patients in Zarqa for home quarantine violations

Sunday, the relevant authorities in Zarqa detained two coronavirus patients for violating home quarantine measures.

The governor of Zarqa Hijazi Assaf told Roya that these two individuals continued going to work normally after testing positive for COVID-19, when they should have been self-isolating at home.

Assaf noted that both patients were transferred to Prince Hamzah Hospital for institutional quarantine, which they will have pay for themselves, according to defense orders. They will also be referred to the judiciary after completing their quarantine period.

Assaf explained that these two people intentionally put their safety and the safety of others at risk, which is a violation of defense orders.

Assaf called on all COVID-19 patients to adhere to home quarantine measures and report any violations to the relevent authorities.
