Sunday, pictures circulated across social media platforms showing extreme overcrowding in front of the Corona vaccination site in the Sports City (Al Hussein Youth City) in Amman.

There are a total of 29 main COVID-19 vaccination sites across the Kingdom, through which the government is implementing the national vaccination program.

During a press conference Sunday, the Minister of State for Media Affairs called on citizens and residents of Jordan to register for vaccination, stressing that Jordan has the capacity to vaccinate 30,000 people per day. However, the Kingdom is aiming to increase that number to 50,000 per day.

He noted that more than 839,000 people have registered to receive a coronavirus vaccine, adding that around 88,000 people received both doses of the vaccine.
