The Council of Ministers, in its session held Sunday, chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, agreed to accept the resignation of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health for Epidemiological Affairs and the Head of the Coronavirus Portfolio Wael Al Hayajneh.

During the session, Khasawneh praised the great efforts made by Hayajneh during the coronavirus pandemic.

March 8, Hayajneh submitted his resignation, announced the Minister of State for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the government Sakher Dudin.

Hayajneh stressed that the resignation has nothing to do with the COVID-19 situation in Jordan.
