The Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) announced the resumption of in-person education in schools and centers for deaf and blind students starting Sunday, March 28.
This decision came to enable differently-abled persons to fully enjoy their right to education, as they face great challenges in online education, especially those with disabilities such as autism, who require direct communication to develop and maintain skills.
The HCD and the MoE that they will monitor the implementation of the required health and safety protocols set by the Ministry of Health and the guideline that was previously developed by the Ministry and the Council.
