Jordan faces crucial week ahead: Chargé d'Affairs of Doctors Syndicate

The Chargé d'Affairs of the Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Muhammad Rasul Tarawneh, said Saturday on Roya's Nabd Al Balad that Jordan is facing a crucial week ahead in regard to the pandemic curve.

In the best case scenario, it is possible that Jordan will discover that it has reached the climax of the second wave of the pandemic, which Tarawneh said there are indications of.

Tarawneh said that the emergency departments in hospitals are witnessing overcrowding, which is 'unjustifiable' as it distracts doctors from dealing solely with their patients.

He added that those experiencing mild symptoms should avoid going to the emergency room and instead receive treatment at home or in health centers.

Finally, Tarawneh applauded the efforts of medical staff, many of whom have fallen victim to the virus.
