The Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, said Saturday that within days, 100,000 doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, and another 25,000 of the British AstraZeneca vaccine will reach Palestine.

She added in a press release that the Sinopharm vaccines were donated by the Chinese government, while the AstraZeneca  vaccines were among the first batches that the Palestinian government purchased from the vaccine manufacturer.

Al-Kaila indicated that the government allocated $ 12 million from the public treasury to purchase coronavirus vaccines, noting that agreements with several companies were made to obtain vaccines in order to ensure the continuity of the national vaccination campaign.
