Roya TV's management apologizes for not being able to broadcast Friday Prayer live on screen after the relevant authorities refused to allow Roya's staff into the King Hussein Bin Talal Mosque.

Roya communicated with the concerned authorities responsible for managing the mosque in order to get approval to aire the Friday Prayer live on television, amid the Friday total lockdown but the request was rejected.

Notably, the is the first time that Roya does not broadcast Friday Prayer since the channel was launched more than 10 years ago.

Roya apologizes to its viewers for the inconvenience as it was unable to broadcast Friday prayer, like it usually does every week.

Roya's efforts are ongoing to get approval from the relevant governmental authorities to broadcast Friday Prayer live on screen normally.

On March 10, the government announced that Friday Prayer will no longer be held at mosques until further notice. This came in light of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in the Kingdom.
