Friday, the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that Anti-Narcotics Department teams, in cooperation with Jordanian customs and security agencies at an unnamed border crossing, thwarted the smuggling of 900,000 narcotic pills from crossing into Jordan.

The Jordanian Customs Department at one of the border crossings suspected that one of the cargo vehicles attemting to enter the Kingdom was carrying illegal substances, which after inspection turned out to be true.

The type of narcotic pills were not disclosed.
