The Ministry of Health instructed the Ministry of Education to take the necessary measures to vaccinate 10-11 graders in schools, since operations have not been suspended for administrative staff.

The Assistant Secretary General for Primary Healthcare at the Ministry of Health Ghazi Sharkas said the Ministry will start administering the third supplemented dose of the diphtheria and tetanus vaccine to 10th and 11th grade students who did not get vaccinated yet.

He added that the Ministry of Education was asked to instruct public school principals to coordinate with students' parents and set appointments for children to make their way to schools and specific health centers in groups of no more than ten.

As for private schools, the ministry instructed them to coordinate with students and relevant doctors to offer these students the vaccine.

The Ministry of Health stressed the need to adhere to precautionary measures including social distancing, and wearing face masks to limit further spreading of the virus.
