371 establishments, 116 individuals fined for defense order violations in one week
371 establishments, 116 individuals fined for defense order violations in one week

Sunday, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and the supervisory authorities in charge based on Defense Order 20 announced that a total of 371 establishments and 116  individuals were fined for non-compliance over the past week, excluding Friday. Violations included not wearing face masks, lack of social distancing and overcrowding. A total of 13,375 inspections were conducted at different facilities.

According to the press release, these violations were recorded among supermarkets, food supply shops, 235 establishments including 12 tourist restaurants, 110 electric appliance shops, 13 cafes, two bakeries, two workshops and two malls.

The Ministry stressed that inspections are ongoing across the Kingdom to ensure that compliance with health and safety measures among establishments and individuals.
