Thursday, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the completion of 'Phase Three' of the construction of the Amman Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project covering a 1,300 km distance coming from Zarqa towards Amman. 

In a press release, the ministry said that traffic in along that section has been restored to its permanent lanes and diversions have been canceled.

The statement added that the work included the rehabilitation the Amman-Zarqa Road andestablish three lanes in both directions, as well as two additional (BRT) bus lanes. The lanes are separated by concrete as metal barriers, lights, paints and reflectors.

The project also included work on the sewage system and water drainage lines and some on electricity cables, water and sewage lines. They also worked on re-establishing some bridges, tunnels and intersections along the entire route.
