A huge fire broke out in a shopping mall in the Karak governorate Tuesday evening.

A Roya correspondent in the governorate said that a joint security force consisting of the Karak Civil Defense Directorate, public security (PSD) and the gendarmerie forces are currently controlling the fire in a mall on the road to Adnaniyah Mu'tah.

Great material damage has been caused on two floors of the mall.

The Roya correspondent stated that there are over 500 security personnel at the scene. They arrived at the site immediately to ensure that it did not extend into all parts of the mall.

The concerned authorities will initiate a wide investigation into the incident to find out the causes of the fire, which are still unknown.
