Jordan records 61 deaths and 8,053 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 61 deaths and 8,053 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 477,053.

The death toll has risen to 5,346.

The cases are: 

-3,631 in Amman

-588 in Zarqa

-423 in Karak

-305 in Ajloun

-235 in Madaba

-126 in Ma'an, including two in Petra

-1,358 in Irbid, including 25 in Ramtha

-487 in Balqa

-356 in Jerash

-252 in Aqaba

-207 in Mafraq

-85 in Tafilah

A total of 451 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 323 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 75,512 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 6,068 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 396,195.

There are 2,769 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 42,852 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 5,174,645.

Sunday, 18.79 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 14.81 percent on Saturday.
